The fish's lifeforce was so strong that it couldn't contain it. Han Sen had seen many powerful creatures in the Third God's Sanctuary, such as the King Spirit and super creatures. But none of them were as powerful as this fish.
Han Sen held Queen's hand, but he didn't dare to move. He didn't want to disturb the big fish, either. It might have opened ten gene locks, and it was something he couldn't afford to provoke.
On top of that, it had countless flying fish under its command. Those flying fish were extraordinary, and many of them were sacred-blood creatures.
Queen didn't know how scary the fish was, but she knew there was something wrong with Han Sen. She didn't move, either, as Han Sen held her back.
The giant fish king didn't pay them any attention, though. It led the school of flying fish upstream. They didn't swim very fast, though, and sometimes they would fly out of the water.
Han Sen let out a long sigh of relief. He wanted to wait for the flying fish school to pass before he left, but there were too many of them. All the flying fish in the streams were going in the direction of the flying fish king. It was as if they were following him.
It was already dusk. Not long after, the sun set and the sky turned dark.
But the river nearby was bright. In the river, the flying fish were like red lanterns. They lit up the river nearby. It was like someone had placed countless red lanterns in the river.
The Lantern Flying Fish were so numerous that they could be counted. They followed the Flying Fish King upstream.
It was a rare sight. Bao'er's eyes opened wide, and she jumped off Han Sen's shoulder. She did a 720-degree flip in the air and fell into the river.
The lantern fish in the river weren't afraid of her, though. Bao'er grabbed a meter-long lantern fish and rode on its back.
The Lantern Flying Fish was still breaking through the waves. Sometimes, it was swimming against the waves, and sometimes it was flying in the sky. Bao'er was so happy that she screamed. She was very excited to be surrounded by the Lantern Flying Fish.
"It looks like something big is about to happen. Let's go and take a look."
Seeing Bao'er ride the lantern fish, Han Sen was curious about what they were doing. He summoned Golden Howler and took Queen with him.
The river was dyed red by the light of the fish. It looked like a red dragon was winding its way across the land. Han Sen guessed there were at least a million lantern fish, and he had no idea what they were doing, following the fish king.
It didn't look like the lantern fish were aggressive, though. They didn't care about the other creatures in the river, and they just followed the fish king.
Bao 'er jumped around in the school of fish. Sometimes she would ride on the back of a fish, and sometimes she would step on another lantern fish. She was having a great time.
The lantern fish were very tame, and they didn't seem to want to hurt Bao'er.
Perhaps because of this, Bao'er became even bolder. She jumped around and caught up with the giant lantern fish king. She jumped onto its back.
Han Sen's forehead was covered in cold sweat. That was a scary thing he didn't want to provoke. Even if it was a gentle creature, it might get angry after being toyed with by Bao 'er.
But the Lantern Flying Fish King didn't seem to be angry at all. It continued to swim against the current, and the giant lantern flying fish followed it. They were like stars surrounding the moon as they swam upstream.
The further upstream they went, the greater the drop in the river became. The flying fish moved faster and faster. After they entered the highland, there were mountains on both sides. The Golden Growler ran on all fours and jumped in the mountains to keep up with the speed of the flying fish.
Wherever the flying fish went, many creatures retreated. The stronger creatures didn't want to come out of the river, and they didn't want to disturb the fish king.
Han Sen was even more shocked. Ordinary creatures had their own territories, and the fish were swimming against the current. Even some of the overlords in the river had to give way to them.
Han Sen stood on top of a mountain and saw a hundred-meter-long snake swim away from the river. It left the water to make way for the flying fish.
There were also ten-meter-long crocodiles that were as hard as steel, giant toads that were shrouded in a poisonous mist, and even creatures that looked like dragons in the water. They all left their respective waters before the flying fish arrived, and it looked as if they were making way for the lantern flying fish to pass.
"That fish king is so cool." Han Sen was envious. When the fish appeared, it was as if the world was on its side.
Looking at the Flying Fish King, which was as red as a lantern, and Bao 'er, who was clapping and giggling on its back, Han Sen felt like he wanted to ride the fish and ride it.
But he wasn't Bao'er. Most creatures in the sanctuary weren't hostile to the Bao'er, and he didn't have the power to do so. If he jumped on the fish king's back, he'd be torn to shreds.
"Where are these lantern fish going?"
The two of them chased the fish for a few days. They had traveled ten thousand miles, but they still hadn't seen the end of the river. The fish king was swimming faster and faster, and it wasn't as leisurely as it had been before.
The school of fish also became a little quiet. They no longer played around casually and followed the Fish King as they swam up desperately.
Normally, the lantern fish were much slower. As the fish king sped up, more and more of them were left behind. There were fewer and fewer lantern fish that were able to catch up to the fish king.
In the end, Golden Howler was running as fast as he could, but he still couldn't catch up to the fish king.
Golden Howler's body was strong, but he hadn't unlocked his gene lock yet. He wasn't as fast as the fish king, so it was normal for him to be slower.
Han Sen called out to Bao'er, wanting her to return. But Bao'er shook her head at Han Sen, and it seemed as if she wanted to follow the fish king. If she hadn't, she would have returned by now.
Seeing Bao'er like this, Han Sen knew something was up. He wanted to follow, but Golden Howler was still unable to catch up with the fish king. Like the other big fish that had been following the fish king, the distance between them was increasing.
Han Sen said to Queen, "I'm going to take a look. You ride Golden Howler and follow me."
After that, Han Sen jumped off the back of Golden Growler. The Blood Dragon wings on his back opened, and he used the Phoenix Flight secret skill to increase his speed and chase after Han Sen.
The Blood Dragon Wings were very fast, and with the addition of the phoenix techniques, Han Sen was able to pull away from Golden Growler. He was able to keep up with the fish king.
